Dr. Selvam is a well-known name in the field of dermatology in India. He is the pioneer behind many advancements in the field with his innovative application of advanced laser technology for several skin-related concerns.
Dr. Selvam has many laurels to his name: He is one of the few dermatologists using Pulse dye laser technology to clear birthmarks. He is also the first person in Tamil Nadu to use Fraxel 1550 for acne and surgical scar revision and RevLite for birthmark and tattoo removal.
His expertise also includes treatment for vascular malformations, hemangiomas, and the management of port-wine stains. Under Dr. Selvam’s guidance, we introduced Indo-laser ablation for the first time in Tamil Nadu.
Dr. P. Nirmala Devi, Professor and Head of the Dermatology Department at Tirunelveli Medical College, is well-known for her expertise in Vitiligo surgery. Over the years, she has published more than twenty articles in national and international dermatology journals. The Fulford PG Award was given to Dr. P. Nirmala Devi in its entirety.
